Love's secret out: Wife, brother kill man

GURGAON: In what seems like a crime of passion, a youth killed his elder brother in Badshahpur on Tuesday night after the latter reportedly learnt about the illicit relation his wife shared with his brother.
After killing his elder brother, the accused along with the deceased’s wife transported the body on a bike and dumped it in an open space on the Golf Course road.The police have registered a murder case against the duo after the victim’s father lodged a complaint.
According to the police, the victim Dinesh (name changed) married Vinita (name changed) on February 9 earlier this year. He was working as a carpenter with a furniture showroom.
Investigators said that 15 days after their marriage, Vinita allegedly fell in love with her brother-in-law. When this came to the notice of Dinesh, the accused duo allegedly hatched a plan to kill him. Vinita served Dinesh posion-laced food on Tuesday night. When he fell unconscious, the duo reportedly slit his throat with a sharp weapon. They later dragged the body from the bedroom and bundled it onto a bike before dumping it on the road.
The accused later fled the house. On Wednesday when Dinesh’s father, Munshi Ram, was going for a morning walk, he spotted a police vehicle parked on the road side. When he enquired, he was shocked to see his elder son lying in a pool of blood. Munshi Ram identified the body and when he rushed home, he found his younger son and daughter-in-law missing from the house.
The police saw the blood stains on the stairs of the victim’s room. “We have registered a case and arrested the duo. They will be produced before a city court on Thursday. The two have confessed to the crime during interrogation,” said inspector Anil Kumar, SHO, Badshahpur.
